Most IFA’s aspire to the reality of being able to transact business regularly within the corporate arena, whether with Limited Companies or Partnerships. Few are successful at making the transition from the domestic market to the world of corporate sales, with the result that sales growth is arithmetic, rather than geometric. Most individuals within the domestic market have severe limitations relating to premium capacity, which does not apply on the same scale when dealing with businesses.

This Focus Group, will meet for a minimum of one day per month on a continual basis. The course will create the bridge from domestic to corporate business and seek swiftly to introduce the prospecting, appointment generation, fact gathering, problem solving and sales skills necessary to enter this exciting arena.

Course work will include the extensive review of all necessary technical, legislative and conceptual material. This will be introduced in parallel to sales material, in order to reduce overwhelm. Additionally, time will be invested in personal development, confidence building and the honing of skills such as time planning, positioning, networking, seminars and public speaking.

The objective of this group is to enhance the level of knowledge of group members with regard to the world of property. During a series of continual trainings, the course will examine all sectors of the market including residential, commercial, and industrial property, both in the UK and abroad. Discussions will take place regarding the various methods of land ownership and examine the value of rental flow as an alternative to interest or dividends.

An essential part of this programme is the Assetz property software package, ‘My Portfolio’ which illustrates the advantages of developing rental income streams as an alternative to conventional pension planning. The group will be kept up to date with the latest trends within the market and have access to a substantial list of investment opportunities available for your clients.

Regional seminars are planned, creating a positioning opportunity for your client base to meet and listen to topical subjects, delivered by experienced lecturers and further, for you to meet members of the 120,000 Assetz client database, who may require financial advice on regulated products.

The Focus Group will have access to ‘off-market’ property transactions, which will appeal to a number of your clients seeking private syndication and a more ‘hands-on’ involvement, producing potentially swifter and greater returns.

A comprehensive knowledge of the property world will be required as a prerequisite of RDR.
